Is it bad to do vaulting/mounting on your horses back often?

Me and my are having a little debate about this question.

I say its really bad and she says its okay.

So?|||hI girls,

Here is my view on your question. If you think about it when you vault onto a horse you are landing on their back very hard, when we are all taught to land gently in the saddle, which better for the horse. I always think of it as if someone was to thump you in the back it would not be very nice and that is the same for the poor horse because you can not control the how softly you land when you vault. But this is just my view enjoy your debate|||well its alright to ride your horse but if you are standing on his back and getting up without a boost all the time well it can be. but just maybe do that at the end of some lessons or once or twice a week.|||Yes, it would be hard if you didn't know what you were doing. For example pulling hard to get on the horse or thumping down on his back. But people who are good at vaulting don't do that. They are very well balenced, wear soft soled shoes, don't land hard, and in general are no worse on a horse then regular riding. They practice new moves on a fake horse(AKA a barrel) before doing it on a real horse so they don't hurt the horse while learning. But if someone wasn't doing it correctly I could be very hard on the horse.
