Help! Computer crashed; Trojan horse!!!?

So. I was like on moviemaker yesterday and got off to take a shower. An hour later I come back to see my virus protection open and giving me a warning about a Trojan horse. I removed it from vault except when I woke up this morning my computer was turned off, I turned it on and it took me to a screen with the safe mode bullshit, except IT DIDNT WORK! It took me to the blue screen and I even tried rebooting and that F8 thing! This is NOT the first virus we had, but we did get rid of it from b4 please help|||To Remove Trojan horse press here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…|||Make sure the Trojan isn't broken! But seriously, I get the blue screen too at times and it crashes my computer and automatically restarts it.|||If I understand correctly, you're telling me you are getting a blue screen? Have you ever heard the term 'blue screen of death'? It's not a virus and you don't get your pc back.

if you have a blue screen you are done. thats that. get a copy of Windows or Linux and reload.|||I would put the Win CD in and reformat-reinstall Windows. It would be a lot easier anyway.|||Email links are a common form of contracting a virus.

Although some programs say they can get rid of viruses, the hosts of Computer Shows do not agree. Most that I have listened to, say Reformat.

In my experience, I have been unable to thoroughly clean a computer of a virus infection.

A virus typically embeds itself onto a computer, “not” wanting to be removed; thus the virus programmer will embed in their program many tricks to “stop” a full removal.

Experts tend to agree, Re-formatting is the only real cure.

Note:

When purchasing a computer, always make sure you get the operating system Disks, that will bring your computer back to the Factory spec’s when purchased. These “disks” will include the “default” programs %26amp; the operating system.

Keep your “data”, and your “photos” protected on a 2nd HD – Best to keep a back-up off-site.

I want to try vaulting on horseback.?

The only problem is I'm not a good, flexible gymnast. I have been riding for 9 years so I have no problem being on a horse but in your opinion, do you think I could do it? Not like competitively or anything. Just to try it?|||You would actually be very surprised at what you need and don't need in terms of flexibility and strength in order to vault competitively. I have competed competitively in vaulting and have a complete lack of flexibility (I can't touch my toes and am no where close to the splits), but I have developed a lot of strength, and so I use that to my advantage.

Vaulting consists of freestyle and compulsories and if you have been riding for 9 years or so you would actually more than likely pick it up very quickly. Also, rather than thinking of it as gymnastics, think of vaulting more as dancing.

Find a vaulting team in your area; it is becoming more and more popular and easier and easier to find a team. That way, you will be able to work with a coach and not have to worry about training or finding a vaulting horse, and buying the equipment and everything, which gets very expensive. Most teams offer vaulting to people who want to do it recreationally, but don't be surprised if you feel pressured to compete in team format.

I wouldn't label vaulting as really easy. It is actually quite challenging to vault correctly, and requires a great deal of strength, flexibility, and coordination. Not flexibility in the sense that you can do the splits (although for some things that comes in helpful) but flexibility in that you have a good range of motion. It is also really difficult to hold a stand on a horse, and do all of that, but it will make you a much better balanced and more efficient rider; just make sure you exercise outside of it if this becomes a routine part of horses for you, so that you don't become left sided.|||Vaulting is really easy and you don't need to be flexible at all! My barn has kids vault before they actually ride because it develops balance on the horse. Because you've been riding for so long it'll probably be no problem for you. I suppose it depends on what moves you do, but you don't really need to be really flexible. If your flexible enough to ride a horse, you should be flexible enough to vault!

Have fun :)

What should i do with the back up copies of files in my AVG virus vault?

In my virus vault there is a whole list of my viruses , worms and trojans. Most are 'trojan horse dropper generic.dzd' Though most are rooted in 'my music' some are in 'system 32' and a few in 'temporary internet files'. The actual names of all the files they are rooted in are a mystery to me as they seem to be names of films which is confusing as i have not downloaded anything illegally while using my computer although some other users of it may have.

I am wondering what is best to do , do i wipe them all? Or will this effect the system , i am especially worried about those in 'System 32'.

Although they are in the vault my system is running slow still , so i would like some advise as to what exactly i should do.

Thankyou for any help you offer.|||The pooch is screwed my friend.

If they are securedly inbedded in system 32 the only safe bet is to wipe and reinstall, unless you know enough to extract them yourself and it doesn't sound like you do...

Sorry.

HOw do i fix a trojen horse thats been detected on my computer? i have avg and they are in the vault?

If it's in the vault, then it has already been fixed.

It is quite safe in the vault.

If you want to remove it, open AVG, click on the vault and simply select "empty vault".

I currently have a virus in my vault, it's no big deal. Perhaps I'll remove it someday.|||get a trial of symantec antivirus. also give pandasoftware.com a try.

if you find other apps try them, its just a matter of waiting untill a virus company figures out how to remove the virus and puts that information in the definitions of the virus program.|||Do what the first answer says. You can leave it there (in the vault) or click "Wipe Out" to delete it.Don't change Antivirus.AVG is very good.I am using it for years and never had any problem.

Don't forget to update it EVERY DAY!|||There is a process in AVG that will delete them from the vault. Try AVG Help to find it.|||First update all your windows stuff at windows update. Next use windows firewall. next go into the settings and run both of these in the morning everyday, before surfing. Then change all your passwords, online and user password or your home password. make a user that has limited privilages. use the limited user when you are online. Next go to trend micro and run the free house call scaner. You will need java. If the trojons are deeply inbeeded you will need to clear your hard drive and reinstall windows. What ever you do keep your hard drive because the copy of window is associated with it. or the key to that copy is for that hard drive. But this can be changed too. good luck to you. this virus drives me insane, it keeps appearing even if I deleted it on the virus vault.|||A Trojan virus is faulty computer program that can infect remote computers by changing the desktop or deleting important files. http://downloadlk.com/Spyware/Get-Rid-of…|||Hi,

I use AVG anti virus and I noticed that I was getting a Trojan Horse showing up as well. Mine was attaching itself to the restore file and I found an easy fix over at the AVG forum.

I don't think there is a need to buy any software to get rid of this, just run through the basic steps they give you;

1. Go to my computer and right click and go to properties

2. Then go to system restore tab and uncheck the system restore box at the top. It will ask you if you're sure and click OK.

3. Restart your computer and run your antivirus

It should be gone. If that works go back in and switch on your system restore by checking the box that you unchecked before.

I also made a 3 minute video showing you exactly how to do this and put it on my blog.|||ParetoLogic Anti-Virus PLUS provides you with powerful protection from countless threats. Floola, a trojan horse? & Lastfm update on Floola (iTunes/iPod)?

Hey after reading rave reviews about floola and actually experiencing it, all of a sudden, when my AVG virus scan did a scan, it kept detecting my floola program as a trojan, identifying it as a trojan horse PSW.OnlineGames.KJP resulting in me moving to vault to avoid any viruses in my computer. I tried googling the trojan name but i learn nothing about it. Each time i download it's always the same result, is it my computer's fault or what? Please advise!

I can't scrobble songs to lastfm on floola even though i enable the setting. It keeps giving me the error message about having too many to send through.

So if i try to send through iTunes, i have to set the automatic synchronize with my iTunes which i'm avoiding because the list of songs in my iTunes and iPod are different and i do not want to affect the songs in my iPod video.

I would appreciate solid advice :-D|||Try updating your AVG file. There seems to be a conflict from yesterday's update that they've fixed today...according to the Floola forums.

This update fixed the problem on my friend's computer.|||Same thing happened to me. I, as well, ran the avg scanner and the exact same trojan horse PSW.OnlineGames.KJP came up.

If you will feel more comfortable, empty the virus vault, but as long as its in the vault its dead.|||Hi Ken. Well with my experience, I can say, that if AVG could spot a trojan, I guess there might be even more viruses residing in yr PC.

Thats bcause an Antivirus like AVg hardly catches any viruses, until and unless they are extremely common.

My Advise to you would be;

1.Download a good antivirus, like

(a) NOD32, free,and doesn't miss out on catching any.

(b)Kaspersky- download it, in the trial period, get rid of the virus, as good as the above one, just that it isn't free.

These 2 should get rid of your virus 99% sure, if not, get 'antihacker trojan expert'.

Again a trial software, but you can get wat you want in the trial period.

If all these don't work, well dude, you can simply reinstall windows, but before, erase all the system restore check points.

And yes, once you scan your PC, you SHOULD ALWAYS PUT THE VIRUS IN THE VAULT, OR QUARANTINE AREA, it would never ever harm your pc since it will be recognized by that specific anti virus.|||Your AVG is doing it's job..

Leave it in the virus vault for a while until you see everything is working well. Then you can delete it.

The main purpose of the Virus Vault is to keep any deleted file for a certain period of time, so that you can make sure you do not need the file any more. use other antiruses like quickheal which instead of capturing the file into the vault, repairs the file and separates the infection from the file.thus saving ur file ang is more convinient n efficient than avg

I have avg and the scan says i had trojan horse viral5 and it had been sent to the vault what does that mean?

i just want to know if its sorted or not|||AVG has a separate folder (which is the vault) where it isolates the virus from the system so that it does not infect your system similar to what a quarantine is.The problem is sorted but if you want you can delete it from your system if you want added satisfaction. |||try downloading bulletproof it should remove it|||the file is locked away and can not be open from the operating system like in a vault

Good luck and Happy Computing!|||Ur computer is safe using Avg, no need to worry.|||It is quarantined in your virus vault and cannot affect your computer. If AVG allows it delete it and forget about it.|||You can empty the virus vault, or just leave it there. It's not able to cause a problem now. Aren't you glad you got AVG? Yea!|||Delete it and the be sure your computer is not infected.|||Trojan is a type of computer virus which comes disguised as a program. People download this program usually from the Internet because they think that the program is of some use, but once they start it up it could perhaps erase your hard drive or just wreak havoc all over your system. Recently there has been a discovery of a Trojan Horse type virus which comes in the form of a file called AOL4FREE.COM this file should NOT be downloaded to your system by any means. ...

Hence it is always recommended to remove the virus from the system. If any of the system files are infected, it is suggested to reinstall Windows.

How can I remove Trojan horse from Windows 2000?

I have AVG. There are multiple trojans in the vault, but arent deleted. My comp is really slow. I went into my temporary internet files and there are few files that will not delete. Can anyone please help???|||Reformat then XP.|||You can download Spyware Terminator software from www.spywareterminator.com (It's a freeware) and scan your computer through that after installation. My pc has been bugged with viruses like trojan horse, placed them in virus vault, still they come back.?

I am afraid my pc will crash becuz of these viruses. I got avg anti virus program still it cant stop them from getting inside my pc. So far i was able to delete 48 viruses.|||I'm just assuming here, but it sounds like your stopping the viruses as they come in. Make sure your antivirus system is completely up to date and then do a full system scan. Make sure everything is being scanned.

Your antivirus system works much like you finding a pair of socks that has a hole in them in your sock drawer.

You only find out you have to throw them away when you try and use them. Much like this your antivirus will only see the virus when it tries to use that file.

So try a full system scan and go from there.

- Also I would recommend looking into getting a firewall to prevent any other viruses. (Norton offers a Antivirus and Firewall pretty cheap)

Hope this helps!

Finally if you if you don't know much about computer getting someone who knows how to adjust the settings in each program to make sure your getting the maximum protect from it would help alot more than just installing it and leaving it on it's own.

Mounting onto horse bareback?

I am pretty short.

%26amp; my horse is 16 hands.

the guys at the barn can get on every horse, just by grabbing some mane %26amp; swinging there leg over.

i want to be able to get on my horse bareback without using a mounting block or climbing onto a fence rail!!!

i cant vault up....i am just to short to get my leg over his quarters.

but with the help of a log or bucket, i can [barely] jump up stomach first, lay over him, then swing my leg over %26amp; sit up.

but i dont like doing that in public because im not too graceful at it %26amp; i look like an idiot.

is there any way i can easily get onto my horse?!??!?!???|||Not really when your at a height disadvantage already. Taller people can use velocity to their favor and get a really good swing going, you however aren't going to be able to have the pivot point they do.

You probably need to stick with the log or bucket sorry.|||You can buy a little rope ladder that fits on the stirrup to get you up there.

No i'm not joking

then you unhook it rool it up and stick it in your pocket|||hey

i have a 16.2 hh TB lolz

think yourself lucky lolz

i cant ride him bareback, because he has a really bad high wither, and i neva ridden bareback, so id have no clue,

but im pretty short aswell, and i have trouble mounting altogether LMAO

if your in public, get a leg up, lolz

and lmao wen you do have the saddle on, DO NOT do this lmaooo

sit on a fence and put ur foot in the stirrup and try to get up,

trust me, experience tells me, you may forget to tighten your saddle and it will slip under the horse and you will go with it

haha funni days they were haha

anyways

hope you figure out what you can do =]=]

Similar, my AVG found 3 similar Trojan Horse bugs, .T an .IL. ?

errors are: sysrest32.exe, tt275.tmp and sysres.sys. AVG has in vault but, system is booting with Trojan Horse Spyware warning message still locked on screen. Also found that I can't use Windows Explorer, other brousers ok. Any advise?|||I have the same problem, with different trojans though. What to do on a horse bare back?

We walk, trot, canter. I stood on his back, rode him backwards, laid on him, steered with my feet and did the basic pre-vaulting movements.

I'm trying to think of more things to do....

I use him to teach beginners, so I want him completely used to crazy stuff. He's the most comfortable horse to ride bareback, so now I'm addicted.

We might try jumping once he's back in shape (he's had 2 weeks off).

We're gunna try riding double, once my sister has the balls to do it.|||I do alot of ground poles - but thats my english background poking through.

I love a horse that I can ride through the trails while grooming the trail and not have freak out (grooming trails = cutting low hangling branches)

Try mounting and dismounting from a variety of places.

Can you already ride with just a halter and lead rope? Its quite handy to do this while catching them in the pasture.

Hell I just like riding my horse bareback through the woods. It makes me feel more at peace with nature and the natural world.|||Try around the world so he gets used to people moving around on his back, and riding with just a halter. Jumping bareback is super fun, you will be just as addicted to it (if not more so) that riding bareback, and double isn't a bad idea, just make sure the weight isn't too much for him. Sidesaddle is fun too, just don't do it for too long at one time or you could mess up his back --you might fall off at first though, I can't even tell you how many times I fell off when I first tried to trot sidesaddle|||Like someone said, sidesaddle is tons of fun bareback haha. Its hilarious when I do it, because I always fall off at this one point. But its not really a fall, you just slide down and land on your feet and I laugh and get back on. I also jump bareback, gallop, work on dressage stuff, etc. I do everything bareback that I do in a saddle, and more. :)|||side saddle is fun when bareback:) me and my horse cowboy do that all the time.|||Once, me and my friends rode TRIPLE on my horse.Walk, jog, lope... it was a lot of fun!

You can also do some jumping, go swimming with them, do some games (Like egg on a spoon, barrels, poles), relay races, trail rides, ETC

What songs could I use for my routine?

Well, I do vaulting which is gymnastics on horses. I need a song that I can use for 60 seconds and it has to be the instrumental version. I'm looking for a techno, interesting, rap maybe, non-repetitive song. Any ideas? Also, it's gotta be really exciting since I'm doing gymnastics and fast moves.|||I do whatever you like (instrumental) Nicole scherzinger.

For fun, How much would you pay for my horse?

Just for fun...how much would you pay (if you had unlimited money..) for my gelding? Heres his info:

- age 23, still has got TONNES of spirit!

- Quarter horse cross

- Always a winner in the hacks, and hunters

- PERFECT form over fences!

- Lots of show miles

- has done cross country, dressage, jumpers, vaulting, trail riding, barrel racing, wp, but specializes in the hunters

- Easy to ride, not spooky at ALL (even when there are drooling wolves beside him, or gunshots...)

- lunges well

- never coliced with me- even when he ate a bale and a half of alfalfa, bucket of molasses, and a bunch of grain, sweetfeed ect.

- I have gone bareback in a halter on him loads of times! The other day I was on a three hour trail ride in the middle of nowhere with him bareback and on a halter...no problems.

- doesn't even notice when a semi truck goes by

- very responsive, he uses a dee ring french link

- has jumped up to 3' in grids

- perfect for beginner, or advanced

- schooling 1st level movements

haha, I know this ISN'T safe for me, but just to show how cooperative he is...I have ridden him bareback in a halter, backwards, with my eyes closed over a cross pole...lol. I did that about a year ago with my friends (it's fun!). He has got great conformation, can be ridden by anyone.

- autochanges when he's jumping, flyingchanges when he's not

- UTD on worming, vaccinations, ect

- You can sit under his stomatch and he won't do anything (i've done it before..haha. again...not safe just in case..)

- Good with other horses, not snorty

- my six year old sister has ridden him with it being her first time on a horse, he just walked around quietly haha

- VERY easy keeper over the winter!

Soo...how much would you pay for this horse?

If I had a camera cord for my video camera I would upload %26amp; make a video..but I dont :( Otherwise I have videos of every single horse show I've been to. sorry- no conformation shots, I just wanted to do this for fun :)|||I would say about 10,000$... more if he was younger, but due to his age, he is at risk for arthritis, and other "old-folk" stuff... not that I'm saying that he'll get those kind of things, because it seems that you take good care of him, but the price of him could easily go up to 20,000$ if he was younger.|||Aw he's perfect!!! He sounds EXACTLY like what i'm looking for (experienced Hunter, older, show experience, great for first horse) :) I'd probably say about $5,000 because of his age...if he was younger I'd offer you a TON more :). Does he need any supplements? Is he shod? -those affect my offer lol.

UGH I wish I could find a horse JUST like him in my area!!|||i would pay 4-5k for him...he seems like a nice horse, but i would really have to ride him to see if i like him ;)

his age brings him down also. He could go lame at a drop of a dime and no one wants that!|||$15,000|||I would say even with all the experiance I would pay no more then 2500.00-3500 cause of his age! EVEN though we have a 31yr old mare who is still out running our OTTBS you just never know at that age! If he was 10-12 u could probably easily get 8-10,000.00

VERY VERY CUTE THOUGH!|||In today's market? $1000, tops. Seems like a nice horse, but 23 is old and 3' isn't that high- Not very tight with his knees although he is square, and what I'm seeing is a small fence so he may just not deem it worth the effort. If he was younger he'd be worth much more, but as is....

Seems like a nice horse overall and a great one to learn on though. It's a shame there are not more like that- A been-there, done-that horse is what everyone needs to start out on.|||His age brings down his price quite a bit. Even if he still has spirit, he's not as limber as he was when he was 12! So $6000 tops.|||im sorry i cant really answer th question but i just wanted to say Alice H 3' isnt that high for jumper but for hunter( witch is what she said she does ) its perfect this is an amazing horse if he were younger he could go for a lot of money!!!!!|||Aww. If he were younger, 15k EASY.

But because of his age, I could only go 5k TOPS. It doesn't make much sense to invest so much in a horse that may only last a few more years.

But he's beautiful! And very talented! I know this was just for fun but NEVER sell him! You've got a good one on your hands. And those can be pretty rare!!!!|||I'd pay around $1500. He seems like a great horse, but his age works against him.|||I would say about up to 5k. If he was younger, probably more, but he'd more than likely make a wonderufl teaching horse.|||sounds like a push-button pony. i wouldn't buy him. sorry XD just sounds boring. he might be good for my sister though, her horse is too much for her and she loses her confidence so i end up riding her.|||He sounds like a perfect horse to learn on or for a beginner rider--and for a rider like that, I'd pay maybe a couple of thousand for him, because he could so easily fill a niche. His age would be a problem for me; even though he's going strong now, there's too much of a chance that he'll experience problems sooner rather than later. Also, while he's cute and probably does well locally (as you said), his form over fences (judging from photos) isn't top notch or good enough to win at bigger shows. There are plenty of horses with his ability that can do well at lower level/local shows. Don't take that the wrong way--he sounds wonderful! If I were looking for a great starter horse, a kid's horse, or something like that and he had all of the qualities you mentioned/I see in pictures, I'd probably give you between $1k-$2k. If he were younger, I might be willing to go up just a little--maybe $2k-$3k. He's cute though!|||i would probably pay about $1000

because: he needs shoes which cost a lot (for me) and he is 23

but other than that he sounds perfect! btw hes soooo pretty! :)

What is this horse worth?

She's NOT for sale. I'm just curiouse. She's my leading horse.

Lightning.

A pure quarter horse, around 14-15 hands. Only 8 years old.... She is trained in

*dressage

*vaulting

*english

*speed

*jumping (Cross country included)

*and a little bit of western pleasure (not to much)

She stands perfectly in a crossties and for showmanship she sets her self up...has perfect headset ALWAYS. Does great on trails. She does spook at time, but doesnt take off running. She likes to be in the lead though on a group ride. She loves young children.

WORSE THINGS: only listens to me, but will listen to the person if im there/around...doesnt like male riders (bucks) very odd...lol

So how much do you think Lightning is worth?

(not that i would EVER sell her...i raised her sense birth)|||the question is how far did she get in those disciplines? We would have to look at confirmation and movement as well.

you can easily say a horse is trained in all these disciplines. but what level dressage, or jumpers?

I would have to say $1000, not knowing the level of training. It would probably be less down south where horses tend to be cheaper.

remember, price doesnt matter :) you love her, then shes worth millions

EDIT: Ok well then dont ask if she is not worth our guessing price lol you asked , I answered. in MY area, horses like this are going cheap, so this is just according to MY experience|||A picture would be really nice,

if I had to buy your horse, I would check for dressage, if a horse doesn't know the basic dressage things then it's probably not good for real show jumping. English 10/10 sounds interesting, and jumping 9/10 also sounds very promising. I think from the given information, that your horse was overpriced, when a horse gets older, the price should go up, not down...but sadly to say, I would pay about 2,500 for her. Maybe if you trained her in dressage really well, I'd pay you 4,500-5,000 :)|||First off, Quarter horses are not a purebred breed....Arabians, Morgans, Paso Finos some pony breeds ect...AQHA, APHA ApHA ect are breeds that are registered. There is a difference. 2nd, your horse is a dime a dozen in todays market. Why are you just not thankful that you love your horse and that she provides what you need instead of putting a monetary value on her if she is not for sale. There is an old saying, something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. Stop worrying about it cause no matter what someone says you will be insulted.|||How high does she jump? What level dressage? What can she do in english? what about a confirmation picture?

Those are key factors for what can determine a horses price, haha. If I had a confirmation picture Id be able to tell you a more accurate price. But personally she can do a lott of stuff, so maybe... 4500 +?

You offered some information but it wasnt really detailed.|||shes sounds like a good girl.

considering her issues w/others and men. xD and me not knowing how far she has got in these disciplines and that i dont know what she looks like or her conformation i would say anywhere from $1000-$5000|||well i would pay biiiiiig money for that horse. she sounds like an ideal horse, $10,000 at the least. you can look at www.dreamhorse.com to get i better idea of how much she is woarth|||She sounds perfect but considering the fact that she won't listen to anyone but you nobody would buy her as anything but a broodmare. but if you were selling her to urself (u get what i mean) i'd say 10k+|||Hmm.. she sounds like an excellent little mare! But the fact that she only listens to you, and bucks off male riders brings down her price a bit unfortunately :( But, because she has good bloodlines, that brings her price up :D So, I would have to say that because she can do such a wide variety of things, she is probably worth about $4500-$5500 in today's market. It all depends on her conformation and bloodlines though. If I could see some pictures it would help a bit, but there is a rough price range for ya!

All the best,

Ally

P.S: And I agree, she is definitely NOT worth $1000, whoever said that needs a brain check because she sounds like an awesome little mare!|||a 14 hand horse usually weighs about 850 to 900lbs and the butchers are paying about .26 cents per pound X 900lbs = $234.00 You say she is registered but do not give any pedigree, or her degree of training, or what she has won, You also said you raised her from birth, then you said you gave $3000 for her when she was a year old, I can not be sure you even own a horse, but if you do own this horse with her problems, she should be sent to a trainer to be trained. With out training, she is worth 26 cents per pound.

What does it mean to move a virus to the vault?

I have AVG free and it said it just detected a trojan horse and wanted to know if I wanted to move it to the vault, or ignore it, so I clicked 'Move to vault'. What exactly does this do and what's a trojan horse virus?|||Most of today's viruses (Trojan horses, I-Worms, Worms, etc) create their own files which contain nothing but a body of the virus. In such cases the only way to remove the infection is to delete the infected file. When you moved the file to the AVG Virus Vault it was deleted from its original location, coded, and then saved in a non-executable file in a hidden folder. Your PC is no longer infected then.

If you are not missing any data file and your applications are running, then you can delete these vaulted files from the AVG Virus Vault program.|||keep it there, trojan horses are sometimes impossible to delete, it cost me re-installing my system

How do I make it in the horse industry?

I want to be a certified vaulting, dressage and jumping instructor. I'm 13 right now.. How do I make it? Like how do I achieve this? Later on, I want to own a boarding stable too. I am starting to show this summer but I want to go far with it when I'm all grown up. Basically, I don't know what it takes, like what do you have to do when they say you must work hard? How many days must you ride? I currently ride 4 days a week and own a horse. I get dressage and jumping lessons every other week and vaulting on the days i don't get those lessons.Basically: vaulting one week and then the next jumping and dressage. I only get one lesson a week though.. (thats all my parents can afford.)I also excercise everyday and stretch. What else am I missing in my lifestyle that I could change? Tell me what it is, or what I can perfect. I also had planned on my dad video tapping me riding, and then posting the video on youtube for people to watch and critique.(regularly) So, anything else?|||well I'm 18 and I know I want to do something with horses for my career, so I'm in college majoring in equine science. I love it. It doesn't even feel like school. We work with horses all day. You also have to take your general education classes in college but it's totally worth it. You can't do anything without an education so go to college and major in equine science!|||Get the riding lessons. Stay and watch other people's lessons. Talk to your trainer.

There are horse magazines at Barnes %26amp; Noble, find one that focuses on dressage and performance and get a subscription (good Xmas present, hint hint) and follow that. You can write to their letters column in the magazine asking what's needed. See if there's anything online on Youtube about dressage training.|||well i am in the same place as you. i have my lesson on a sunday. and i just do what i did in my lesson throughout the week so i am better and we can progress more. but im not too sure what else you can do.|||You have to be the best. You have to practice at least 6 days a week, getting your horse in top competition form. You have to be insanely good, and be able to ride at a very high level. You also need to know a ton about caring for horses, tack, all that. And you need a ton of money to get started. The horse insdustry is not forgiving $$ wise, and you have to have a lot of money to start up and a lot of money to keep it running. If I were you, I would pick one discipline to really focus on and become the best at. If you love both jumping and dressage, you could do eventing. That way you could have the same kind of lesson every week, so you are getting much better than you ever would having them on a rotation like that.|||Try to take more than one vaulting lesson a week, with a certified instructor. If you want to get better at dressage and jumping, you're going to need to take lessons in those as well, or else you won't get any better. As my trainer says "Perfect practice prevents piss poor performance." Make sure that when you ride, you aren't just turning your horse and running at the jump or pulling your horse around a circle on the inside rein. Basically, pay attention to what you're doing. Try to do everything perfectly every time; your position, your aids, your striding, everything.

Believe it or not, there are actually equestrian colleges that people go to to become certified instructors, farriers, stable managers, etc. You could go to one of those after high school!|||Be at the barn WHENEVER you can.

Balance Exercise and Saddle Help, My Horse People?

Yeah. I already know a few things to do to improve my balance - but I need some more everyday exercises! I've been working on bareback for a little while, and although I can stick up there for a while at a walk and trot, I'm not ready to try a canter yet, and I'd like to work on my natural balance a little bit, first, anyway. I already know a few tricks (I worked with my exercise ball today and my brother and I were doing some neat bike work! I learned how to cross my legs and still ride, stand on the beam and still ride, turn one handed while standing on one leg, and I'm working on riding no-handed (hard!) as soon as I can get some training wheels on this other bike to practice with xD)

But I'd like to know if you guys have any tips/tricks that I can practice out of the saddle, in a vaulting pad (I do have one for use), and on my horse to improve my bareback position and balance.

While I'm at it - I have another question. This week I was riding in a different saddle than usual (I was riding a much shorter horse with a broader back than the TB I usually work with), and I have TERRIBLE saddle sores from the hard leather. Are there any ways to combat this? I don't have a full seated pair of breeches, so you know, but if it would help I can obtain some ^^

Also, I had a different instructor at the time, and she kept telling me that my left leg was pushed slightly forward at the heel. Usually, my leg goes too far back, so I'm wandering if the saddle could have caused this. Could it have? Also, I'm fairly certain that either the horse or the stirrup leathers were uneven, and that leather was the longer one (I couldn't put it up a hole without injuring my knee and putting myself even further off balance - it was my hour long lesson, and I have a problem wherein I dislocate that joint really easily o-o;) Could this have caused my wonky legs? I have new half chaps, too, but that's been HELPING my legs in the other saddle and bareback, so I don't think that was it.|||well, lets start off with your second question because that's easy to answer.

if the saddle was hard enough to give you sores and it was made out of hard leather, then chances are it is poorly made. (bad craftsmanship, poor quality, off balance) that in and of itself explains your sores and bad legs %26amp; posture. don't worry about it, just ride in a better made saddle next time.

now for every day balance in the saddle, try yoga. it is good for strength training and will help you sit more evenly and become more aware of your body.

http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/finder/鈥?/a>

another thing to help your balance is to do a lunge lesson.

(make sure whoever is controlling your horse is experienced)

http://horses.suite101.com/article.cfm/l鈥?/a>

http://www.tayloradams.org/youngridersbl鈥?/a>

you can also try things like 'around the world' and thigh stretches (be careful with this though)

thigh stretches are when you are in the saddle you reach your hand down, grab your ankle and bring your calf up to the back of your thigh. it looses your muscles and makes your ride primarily off of your seat. (no legs for balance) do this one leg at a time until you are comfortable to do both at the same time. can be done at walk though canter (only when your ready though) and should only be used on a dead quiet horse.

hope this helps %26amp; good luck!|||you should learn to correct your riding in the saddle your riding inn to look good. Or make sure you only use your saddle.

Are you saying your getting saddle sores on your legs from the stirrup leathers? that is good it means your riding with your leg in the correct position-get chaps!!

are you getting sores on your seat bones?? this is great! it means you sit correctly in the saddle! my trainer would ride several horses when she was little, and she has sores on her rear from her underwear indenting into her booty. get thongs! much more comfortable- Try doing more half seat work and post more at trot and canter.

Vaulting Lessons? :)?

Hello,

Well i am 15 and I have always wanted to ride. I have never really been interested in English or Western but I have liked other diciplines, such as Vaulting. I could never find any vaulting stables until the other day! The stable charges $150 a month for 2hr per week lessons. Each lesson is 2 hours! Thats a great deal! Usually lessons are $150 a month for once a week 1hr lessons! They offered me to come down and check out the stable. I'm just wondering, what should I expect in the lessons. Would it mostly be stretching and practicing on a fake stand? Or would I also be learning horse care?|||You'll most likely be learning it all. Most instructors like you to know how to take care of a horse if your going to ride. You'll be stretching, learning balance, basics of riding etc. also. When you go check it out, ask the instructor or other people around the stable about what she/he teaches.|||I've never tried vaulting though I've always wanted too. At our barn we have a girl doing vaulting and she has a private instructor come to the barn. I've gotten to watch a lot of her lessons. I bet your going to be spending an hour on the ground and an hour on your horse. But, all instructors are different. My instructor taught me a lot about horse care too. Some instructors are different so try asking yours if you'd be learning that.|||Why don't you ask them when you go check out the stable?|||If you're not learning horse care you need to. That is the most important aspect of riding. If you don't understand horses you won't be able to communicate with them very well.

I took trick riding lessons, but it was after I had years of experience with horses. The thing about trick riding is that if horses spook you are not always in the best position to correct. I STRONGLY recommend taking some lessons before trying vaulting. I'm not saying that you can't do it, I'm just saying that it will probably be better for you and the horses you are riding if you have some experience. I've been riding for years, and I have been thrown off of some horses that are supposedly 'bombproof'. Horses spook, it happens. If you're not prepared for it/don't know how to deal with it, you are taking a much bigger risk than if you knew how to react.

Horse party ideas & invitations (im not a kid either)?

I'm turning 21 next month %26amp; have been riding (english %26amp; vaulting) all my life etc etc.

So i thought i would have a horse themed party. I am having it at a farm (historic winery) set in a country atmosphere. It is very sophisticated though (place where primarily weddings are held etc)

So i cant do the kid party setting etc.

The only idea i have at the moment for invitations is a real horse shoe (used from farrier) then attach cardboard invitation.

I am having a 3D cake "2" %26amp; "1" the two will be a horse head and the one will be a horse leg. Or a horse head coming out of a cake. Hope that makes sense.

I need ideas for table decorations etc etc.

I'm a really creative person so i don't mind putting work into it.

Note i ride english...

I didn't want a cowboy or indian theme as this isnt my style

I didn't want to put this question in arts etc because i want horse ppl answers...

thankyou in advance

|||just as they do at major parties/weddings, guests are assigned to certain tables. Your table should be names "horse breeds" such as... Your table is thoroughbred/paint/hanoverian/appolousa.鈥?so on.

idk i thought it was cute lol|||1) Get some white paper bags, like brown lunch bags but white unless you want brown? Trace and cut out a horse stencil with some cardstock paper. Glue stencil to the inside of the bag. Place a candle in the bag and when it's lit a horse silouette will appear. This is less expensive then buying horse votive candles.

2) Just get some cool pictures of horses (black and white pics will look classy) and take them to a place that can make bigger prints. You can set these up on the tables.

Since your 21 you will most likely have wine at the party.

Here are some cute wine toppers :)

http://www.horse.com/Horse.com-Exclusive鈥?/a>

I'll post more once i find more stuff!! I love parties!

~UPDATE~

If you have model horses like breyers you could use those as decorations on the tables.|||Why not get some sliding shoes and just use paint pens to write the invite on them. sliding shoes are normally pretty wide and flat and should be able to hold all the details. (I fit my daughters party details on a wooden mixing spoon when she had a chef b-day, so I'm almost positive it will fit on the shoes).

also, I wouldn't do an extravagant child like cake. Your 3D cake idea is cute don't get me wrong. but it better suits a child's birthday party. I would suggest a sophisticated layer cake that is tooled and iced out in horse shoes. It's not to made up, but will still look great as a party center piece.

Have the old fashion Pin the tail on the donkey/horse/zebra game(which should be fun if alcohol is served)

As for table decorations- nice table cloths with the center decked out in horse shoes, bits, and riding crops.

For party gifts- horse shoe necklace and earrings for the gals(you can find at litterally any horse expo or flea market for cheap and still look good) and a nice horse shoe key chain or wallet clip for the boys.

Have fun, and remember to keep it older and more mature. You are 21 and decking out extravagant colors, ribbons, and plastic decorations is going to look child like and immature.

If a trojan horse is found during a computer scan & you move it to the vault, do you need to change passwords?

Recently I have gotten posts on my facebook wall that my picture "has been posted" on two other websites. I ignored it thinking it was some type of spam, and never entered in any information. I have two laptops that I go back and forth between using, and both have come up with trojan horses during the past week of scanning. I have it set up so that they automatically scan every night. The trojan horses are then put into a vault. I am assuming my computer is protected, right? Do I need to go through and change any passwords to emails, online banking, or facebook? Or am I doing the right thing and should just continue to handle it the way I have? |||It seems all is okay. You're doing the right thing.

However if you are getting trojans you are getting them from somewhere.

Don't rely on just a virus scan, they don't catch everything.

Also run the following

Malwarebytes

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Ccleaner (will clean up crap after going online)

http://www.ccleaner.com/download

|||well it is always good to change ur passwords on a regular bases---i do once a couple months ---u didn't say what u scanned with to find the virus's

BM has a point and if u had trojan vundo u need to run vundo 7.0 to fix it--is free----to really get everything --u need to run highjackthis log and post in a forum like bleeping computer or follow the instructions at majorgeek.com in the malware spyware section(info box on the right side home page)

good luck and safe computing

What does it mean when it has a red exclamation mark?

My virus vault says i have alot of trojan horses and there is a red exclamation mark saying infected, Iam really worried should it say that... i have deleted the trojan horses from the virus vault should i be worried or is this how it is .|||you are fine the virus vault is where it puts viruses until you delete them.|||You only see that red exclamation mark when the software you use to scan the system files pest on your system. So yes that's normal for the anti-software to find them it's not normal for them to be on your system in the first place. Just be careful and read the links when you click on search engines searches. As a lot of them are fake and rouge sites. Compress RAR/ZIP can have virus, trojan, spyware, malware, adware. Just have to take extra protection measures. I always scan the files before I would decompress them.

But you doing the right thing delete the pest off your system or leave them in the virus vault to safe keeping.

Get rid of the trogen horse virus?

I have windows XP it got it in a website that said i had a virus which the program I downloaded to get rid of virus which in turn was a virus i had it for like a day and my AVG anti virus just puts it in some vault and every time i turn on my computer a screen pops up saying i have the virus it is in C;window/system32/blphcrjkjoen47.scr and i think it spreaded Please anyone help|||It's not avirus it's a malicious codec, which is why it comes back.

It was fun, and you have to be really strong to do it well, you also have to be a dare devil. My coach made us do it to see if it would improve our gymnastics. It gave us better balance and we did get a bit stronger.|||i have :)

Trojan Horse in avg virus vault?

i have avg and in the virus vault is trojanhorse backdoor it's saying i can heal or wipe out it but when i cick wipe out it says are you sure you want to remove from virus vault and im clicking no..and i dont want this brand new computer to cash help me!|||You have two options:

1 - delete (Wipe Out)

2 - leave it where it is.

It's quite safe within the vault and can do no damage.|||You should always remove everything from the vault. When it asks are you sure click yes.|||if your sure its a trojan then just delete it. if your NOT sure its a trojan, just leave it in the vault. it won't hurt anything being in there.|||Wipe out means delete. Go ahead, I've been deleting for years.

Please help me...how to delete trojan horse from my virus vault? i'm using AVG.?

No problem just open the vault and delete it because it's not going anywhere.

I have done this a dozen times or more

Good luck|||Your original question has been answered already (go to vault and delete trojan).

For future protection, do following three things:

You need to do three things:

1 - Download and run AVG Antivirus from here: http://free.grisoft.com/ (select free basic editor option if you don't want to pay)

2 - Download and run Super Anti Spyware from here: http://www.superantispyware.com/superant... (again you can pick free edition - it is best in its class although name does not sound so good)

3 - Download and run "Avast 4 Home Edition" by going to http://www.avast.com and navigating to Download Programs menu on top - Select Avast! 4 Home Edition FREE Download

And you are all set for atleast one year.

Good luck!

QAData|||yeah the guy above me is right, go into the vault and just delete it. i myself have done it a number of times|||Don't worry. If it's in the vault in won't do any harm.

Bad Habits: Chewing crossties and pulling them.

Markings: Stripe with a small snip, socks on both hind legs.

Gender: Gelding.

Age: 22.

Breed: Appendix QH.

History: We bought him 10 years ago from a private seller. They lied about his age, so we got him for a discounted price.

Favorite Treats: Apples.

Buck?: Rarely.

Rear?: Never.

Jump?: Yep.

Load Easily?: Very easy.

Greenie or Push Button?: Neither. Very easy for a good rider to ride, very safe for anyone to get on but would be frustrating for a beginner (very lazy, needs a strong leg to get going.)

Even Seriously Injured/Sick?: He had an episode this summer (tick-bourne illness, he's better now.) He had a soft tissue injury to his LF 4-5 years ago as well.

Like Human Food?: He thinks he does until you offer him some.

Pad Color: Blue.

Halter Color: Brown (leather.)

Lead Color?: Blue (nylon), brown (leather with chain.)

Lunge Well?: No idea. We've had him for 10 years and have NEVER lunged him, but I assume he knows how.

Done Something Other Than Regular Discipline?: He'll do a reining spin....very VERY slowly.

Have Good Manners?: Yes.

Bite?: Once in a great while. He gets laced for it.

Good With Children?: Yes.

School Horse?: No.

Love What He Does?: Yes, he's 22 and still gets excited about jumping.

Personality Traits: He's a very personable horse--has never pinned his ears at a person since we bought him. He wants to be your buddy.

Stall Buddies?: His one and only true friend (my first horse) was sold years ago. Now he either pals around with the other old horses in his turnout group or hangs by himself.

Show or Pleasure: I ride for fun, not show.

Indoor or Outdoor: Outdoor.

Arena or Trails: Depends on what I'm doing/what horse I'm riding.

Euthinization or Natural Death: If the horse is suffering put them down. I'm hoping my horse is out in the field one day and just drops dead instantly instead of spiraling downward and me having to make the decision about putting him down.

Jeans or Jodphurs: Breeches.

Chaps or Tall Boots: Very fitted half chaps.

Paddock or Tall: Paddock.

Fitted or Square: I assume you mean pads, and by fitted I assume you mean with wither relief. I use pads with wither relief.

Bell Boots or Overreach Boots: They're the same thing.

Tack or Bareback: Tack.
