I have avg anti virus free and trogan horse popped up so i scaned my computer it was a threat keep in vault?

i scared i dont know what to do|||ok why all you people insist on using AVG free I don't know. You guys do know that AVG free is the biggest piece of garbage that you can use. You might as well not have any protection at all. here is some free information for all you AVG buffs

AVG Free contains basic antivirus protection (base level only).

AVG Free does not contain Anti-Rootkit protection so rootkits may be hidden in your system.

AVG Free does not contain Anti-Spam which can monitor and block SPAM and fraudulent e-mails.

AVG Free does not contain the new Safe Downloads %26amp; Instant Messaging protection (Web Shield technology)

so it does not screen your downloads and communication for viruses and spyware.

AVG Free only includes the Safe Search protection which provides you with advice on search results.

It does not protect against infected pages. Only AVG paid versions contain the Safe Surf technology.

AVG free needs 256mb of RAM Avast uses only 28mb of RAM 55mb when scanning

And you guys wonder why you get trojans and other viruses, if this doesn't tell you why then I don't know what else to say|||The AVG Virus Vault is a virus quarantine where all removed files, virus infected or suspicious, are stored. All files are encrypted and cannot harm your computer any more

Using the Virus Vault

The main purpose of the Virus Vault is to keep any deleted file for a certain period of time, so that you can make sure you do not need the file any more. If you find out that the missing file is causing problems, you can send it for analysis, try to heal it, and restore it to the original location.

To open the Virus Vault, navigate via Main Screen -%26gt; Main Menu History -%26gt; Virus Vault.|||Keep the Trojan Horse in Quarantine for a few days. Once you're sure that it isn't a mistaken positive (if everything runs normal for a few days) then you can safely delete it. You don't need to be scared of that specific Trojan anymore because they can't operate while quarantined by your anti-virus software.|||your fine! at the end of your anti virus scan, the infected files automatically to the vault. so you are fine if the files are in the vault. also, at the end of the anti virus scan it willl display how many files are infected... if the number of files is zero, then your fine and your windows should be in working order. if you still have concerns about files, then run the anti virus scanner and scan files, any and all infected files will show up. if you see a zero for infected files then your fine. sometimes for peace of mind after trojan infections/viruses/adware etc, i usually run the antivirus scanner to be sure all is wiped out though, a 2nd time to be fure. sounds like your okay! YOU CAN CLICK THE REMOVE UNHEALED INFECTIONS TAB AND IT WILL REMOVE ALL INFECTIONS, YOU CAN ALSO LEAVE THEM IN THE VAULT AND THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES....|||I take it, you have avg.

If you open up avg and click your tutorials and help, you might have to click something to make it to show up better, they are on the top of avg. it will tell you how avg works. There is an index in there. Just click and play around and you will find a lot. In the index, you will see what avg does with what it puts in the vault.

Avg found the trojan, didn' it? Good I say. Put it away.

Avg will keep that in the vault for a period of time.

Google the trojan and see what it is about.

Avg and others pick up advertising cookies, which I think is an invasion of our privacy.

Google has protection. It has blocked things when I browse.

Firefox has protection. It has blocked, along with avg, some big virues for me.

AS far as your mail, you have spam guard. If you see how many spam emails that have been put in spam, you have protection.

If there is no protection, you have spam guard. When you open your email, click, I think it is options, in the upper right side of your email and you can find spam guard.

All anti viruses give the basics. Yes, if you have the money, it would be good to buy full protection.

If you do not have a firewall for more protection, it is a good ideal to get one. Keeps the vicious hackers out that put trojans and things into your computer. This might be how the trojan was put in there.

The free trials are not free. If you type in firewalls, they are there. I do not know which 1 is the best. I do not know which anti virus is the best.

A programmer put zonealarm in mine. I had a lot of hackers and a lot put into my computer.

click zonealarm products then compare all products|||You should be OK, I use AVG as well. Don't panic. Clear out your virus vault, then run a free scan on your machine from one of the tons of free virus scan sites out there. I use the following site once a month and they scan my computer for free.

http://www.zettalogix.com/FREE_SCANS.htm鈥?/a>|||AVGFree is among the worst of the free "honest" AV programs. It's detection percentage is at or below 60% of KNOWN threats.

That being said, *most* free programs in the Security game are useless, or next to it. If you want to protect your machine, *buy* your Security, and do it from a reputable vendor, and if from on-line, make sure you go to the *publisher's* website only! (i.e.: There are sites that sell you Norton Internet Security, but they are 100% malware...if you're going to buy Norton, go to the Symantec website!)

Good Luck!|||no worries.. avg has taken care of it.. remember to clean your virus vallet.. It will help you a bit...

Also make sure you dont visit such sites.

Also for more protection use avast free edition instead of avg..

I rank avast 10/12 and avg 2/12 coz of the 12 features that I think is imp for every antivirus 2 have. and is not there in avg free edition

check out my reviews on both antivirus

bestfreeantivirus4u.blogspot.com|||It's all good just keep it in the vault for at least 30 days so it can die there and go to H.E.L.L.... I HATE THEM TROJANS AND WORMS' AND ALL STUPID VIRUSES.|||keep it in the vault.

emptying creates space 4 other threat to be send in the vault.|||2 options
