What do you do with trojan horse viruses in the avg virus vault?

there are 5 in total (trojan horse generic, dropper, heur). they are all in temporary internet files. they dont seem to have affected the computers working but im not sure if i should do anything with them, as it does not let me heal them

shold i delete them?

any help please?!|||AVG has the ability to heal a file only if the Virus is attached to the file, in your case the TROJANS aren't attached to anything..they are just TROJANS all by their selves..

If nothing is affected, go ahead and delete them...

They are only backed up just in case you need them|||Delete them|||Just delete them mate.|||definatle delete them, the temporary internet files are just so you can load videos images etc next time you see them|||Computer Maintenance

I've been using them all for over a year now. They are all compatible with each other and Windows XP and Vista.

You will have a trouble free, clean, green, mean machine.|||Temporary Internet Files is not so important . You can delete them using CCleaner and the viruses will gone forever

Temporary internet files created while you surf the internet and all images , flash video , sound, logo and other are located in temporary internet files folder.

But the viruses will not do damage to your computer if they are kept in the quarantine or virus vault , because they are encrypted so they can't do anything to your computer.|||When you see the word "heur" in the scanned file info, it means there is a possibility that AVG has identified a good file as being bad. I would leave the files in the vault for a month or two before permanently deleting them. By that time you should have decided whether the files being in the vault was causing a problem or not.

"heur" is short for heuristic.

Would be a good idea, too, to clean up your computer.

Remove temporary files, logs, cookies, etc. by using Ccleaner. Do not use "Advanced Settings" or the "registry" button. Use only the default settings. http://www.ccleaner.com/

During install of Ccleaner you will be offered the Yahoo Toolbar. UNcheck if not wanted.
