How can I vault onto a horse bareback?

I like to ride bareback but I always have to get someone to help me up because I have a tall horse. If there are and video's or if you could even explain how to vault up please help me.

Thank-you|||Make SURE that your horse isn't going to spook, firstly. I've gotten hurt a couple times trying to get on spooky horses, and it doesn't feel too great.

There are two ways that I use. When I first started, I just ran at my pony and jumped up with a bit of a running start. It looks ridiculous, and don't do it with a jumpy horse, but it works, its just maybe not the most glamorous.

The other way is harder, but more efficient. You begin standing at the horse's shoulder facing his tail, holding a handful of mane in your left hand, and vault yourself sideways, using the mane for some support and throwing your right leg over the horse's back.

If these don't make sense, there's tons of videos on Youtube. :)|||What i do is jump on to the horse so i am lying on my stomach then move my legs up and down together so i can get up there but that is really hard for me to do|||http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmBzF-2vz鈥?/a>

Lots of practice!!!|||Here's a video showing a girl throwing her leg up over her horse to mount bareback:

1. grab a peace of the main and stand to the left of the horse

2.i get ready to run

3. run really fast still holding onto the main

4. quickly and sharply jump onto the horses back still holding onto the main

my horse tht i ride is about 17.3 hands|||I don't think the horse will mind if you don't have a shirt on
