For camp, me and my friend have to do a short vaulting routine. Nothing fancy, we dont have a fancy vaulting pad thingy, but one of us will have a bareback pad. We aren't going to be on a horses at the same time, we will be on different horses doing synchronized moves. We cant really stand up or anything... but i really want to do something more interesting than just around-the-world, and boring hand movements. Help?|||I did vaulting for 4 years but just quit. I am planning to start with a different team. but anyway The fancy vaulting pad thingy that you are talking about is a circingle. Its kind of hard to do vaulting without standing up because alot of the really cool tricks are when you are standing up. Go online and find videos of kurs that you like.|||i use to do vaulting i quit last year.
you could start off with basic seat. witch is toes pointed, hands on hips with elbows inline with knee, head and toe.
the you could follow it with a flag heres a picture

and kneel

but you have to make it flow so it's not just one move to the next and have some music going cause i pesume its a freestyle and not compulsory i recomend slow music for beginners because it is easier. my first freestyle was to the titanic music.
anyway good luck and have fun!!!|||awwcool i did it on top a clydesdale TB cross..i actually stood on the backur feet have to go with th eup and down movement of the horses hind legs!
