Here are the virus found by the AVG 7.1 network edition. It was move to the vault then the vault had been empty after that by my colleague. since then the AVG cannot start again and others program such as Skype as well cannot be start. It cannot be restore by the windows system restore. How can I make the PC work as normal again?|||Download and reinstall your AVG. Here are a few others you should also have.

Question about Trojan horse on my computer?

July 2 my AVG detected a trojan horse, and it moved it to the virus vault, But Today July 9, it detected the trojan horse, under the same file name as before, So i had two infected files with the same name in the virus vault, how is that possible? And I thought Trojan horses were easy to get rid of

What is Trojan horse Downloader?

Avg anti-virus found a Trojan horse Downloader Small 58.BF at


C:\WINNT\System32\Shell Ext.\wmi.vbs





I removed it to Vault but I still get warnings from Avg that the virus is still there.





So what exactly is a trojan horse downloader? What harm can it do to my computer? After I removed it to vault should I delete it from there?

We got the virus last night but it is cleared now... but in the mean time do NOT put your credit card details on any site, its most likely that there was spyware attached to the trojan downloader.





If you EVER see a pop-up with a message like:


"This page contains errors, which may crash your computer. To view it safely, downolad safescript now!"





Make sure you close the browser... if you click yes then it will add spyware to your computer, and increase the chance of a virus getting in. Even if you press no it still may download. Take care!





If you have BT yahoo broadband then install the anti-spyware scanner off the site, it will detect anything that's still there.|||Today I have finally got rid of this damn thing from my computer.

The pop ups drove me insane.





The only advice I can offer is:





1.most anti spy ware and anti virus wont get rid of it (AVG didnt work for me)





2. you need to turn off your system restore prior to running any anti spy or virus program. re boot then turn it back on - if you dont do this it just re starts each time you restart your computer. (start menu - right click on my computer - properties - system restore tab - uncheck this box- then apply - ok)





3. I downloaded Prevx1 and Superantispyware free from the net and they cleaned my system up. (ALWAYS TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE WHEN RUNNING THE ANTIVIRUS) or it just saves a little bit and then is comes back to bite you.

3. There is still more in your computer than what you have in the vault - it wont matter if you delete from the vault or not.

Goodluck|||I faced such type of problem 2 months ago.... it is precious to remove this trojan.... i use Norton... Mcafee... Panda antiviruses but i could not do this this.... i installed the Mcafee Firewall Download from their website ... now it has blocked this trojan to download.... Trojan do not harm your computer in such a manner as the virus do but it send your computer information to other computer who has send you this trojan virus....

I just did a virus scan and found that I have a trojan horse..It has been moved to the virus vault..?

Am I supposed to delete it from there, or do I leave it there? I am using avg free, but I don't know what to do now. OK, For the last 3 days a "Backdoor" Trojan Horse has showed up on my virus scan. ?

I have McAfee and keep putting it in the Virus Vault. My question is if it's in the virus vault can it still hurt my computer? Do I have to heal it or what?|||Forgive me if i have this wrong....but if you are saying

Go to start ...r/cick my comp...click on system restore and





check the box to turn it off...click ok and/or apply.





Scan again with McAfee and remove it then turn system





restore back on and this will create a new clean restore point.

Then run Malwarebytes, and clean everything it says





Then run CCleaner





Then run Avast - If a virus infection is persistent, use Avast to do a boot-scan - click on "schedule boot-scan" and restart the computer





Then run Superantispyware





Then turn System Restore back on.





Now install the antivirus program and antispyware program of your choice to do continuous scanning, and make sure you keep it up to date.





Always keep your Windows, web browser and Java software up to date - frequent patches are released to plug security holes.

Is it safe to delete the trojan horses off my virus vault on AVG?

they all say they are backup copies


and they are all located in the C:\Volume Information\_restore areas of my computer
